MemeMatch: A Large-Scale Dual-Context Multimodal Dataset and Retrieval System for Internet Memes
Do Tri An Le · Donát Ákos Köller · Qixin Deng* · Roland Molontay*
Abstract
We introduce MemeMatch, a large-scale multimodal meme dataset and retrieval system that bridges meme collection, annotation, and analysis. Nearly one million memes are represented through local textual context and global template context, enriched with emotion, topic, and usage-intent annotations for analysis and context-aware retrieval.
We present a secure desktop application for monitoring school lanyard-policy compliance while protecting student data and maintaining reliable operation. The system combines authenticated and encrypted cloud synchronization, validation, administrative access controls, and local caching, and was successfully deployed in a middle-school environment.
Advanced Facial Emotion Classification with 135 Classes for Enhanced Cybersecurity Applications
Gregory Powers · Aobo Jin · Abdul Basit Tonmoy · Haowei Cao · Hardik Gohel · Qixin Deng*
Abstract
We investigate facial emotion recognition across 135 fine-grained classes. A combined U-Net and ResNet framework preserves spatial cues while learning discriminative features, improving classification accuracy over existing approaches and supporting nuanced behavior-analysis and cybersecurity applications.
